As an expectant first-time mother of twins all I could do was wonder about the unknown territory that awaited my husband and me. How were we going to care for two infants, juggling the day and night feedings, diaperings and fussy crying spells that come with every newborn?! The Baby Log Book was born out of necessity to help us navigate newborn scheduling during those first many challenging months with our newborn babies.
Whether feeding breastmilk, formula or solid food, you can easily chart when and how much your baby is eating, and how many diapers are being used. There's also plenty of space to record other newborn scheduling notes or comments you deem necessary, the information will be noted fully in this log book so that caregivers know exactly where you left off in baby’s schedule.
Each baby had a log book of a different color, and we were able to quickly and easily record each twin’s particulars on a daily basis. As time passed, the daily newborn scheduling charts became a great tool in discussions with our pediatrician to identify areas of concern, or even just to be confident that the babies were healthy and indeed getting enough to eat by seeing their “inputs and outputs” in an easy-to-read chart format. When we had our third baby, I found that the book was very useful to keep me on track with his health while being Mom to two active pre-schoolers.
